Many women think that if they want to lose fat rapidly that they must resort to dangerous diet drugs.
Not only is this dangerous, but there are much safer ways to achieve rapid fat loss.

We've all been there...we have a special occasion/event that we want to look our best and want .

It will take some serious dedication with hard training and a solid fat loss nutrition program.
What you don't want to do is go on a liquid fast...yes you will lose weight quickly but most of it will be muscle and not fat. Keeping your muscle at all costs. Muscle is your key to having a faster metabolism so that you can produce rapid fat loss.

Here are some of the keys to rapid fat loss:

1- Eliminate process carbohydrates.

Think white flour and product like white bread and crackers. There is no room in your fat loss program for these.

2- Reduce the amount of starchy carbohydrates.

An example would be potatoes and brown rice. You don't have to eliminate them completely..just cut back.

3-Increase your protein intake.

Eating lean proteins like chicken and fish help your metabolism to burn more fat, while preserving lean muscle.

4-Increase you water intake.

This helps with rapid fat loss and keeps things moving. Not enough water can actually make you retain water.

5- Increase your cardio (aerobic activity).

Depending on how much you are doing now you can either increase the duration or the frequency. For example if you are doing 30 minutes go up to 45-60 minutes per session. If you are doing cardio 3x a week then increase it to 5-7 sessions per week.
Rapid fat loss will occur when you increase cardio because it helps the body to burn more calories and as a result more fat.

*Make sure you do your cardio with intensity!

6-Taking EFA's (essential fatty acids) like fish oil or flax seed oil is crucial for rapid fat loss.
I've seen it many times where women will not include these in their diets and as a result the fat loss comes to a hault.

The woman?s voice was loud, too loud for the restaurant. We were trying to enjoy a relaxing meal when the argument erupted a few tables over- a couple in open disagreement.

?I didn?t want to think about it,? he shouted at her.
By now my meal was loosing its flavor, disrupted by the unpleasant outbursts projected from across the room.

It?s called anger. We all know it. We?ve all experienced it. For some of us it happens rarely. Others dip into its dark shadows daily. But did you know that anger isn?t just emotionally damaging?

It?s true. Anger can do more than upset us emotionally. Anger can have deleterious effects on our physical bodies. It can actually produce heart disease and keep us from having a healthy heart.

Sound far-fetched? It shouldn?t. Medical science has known about the harmful effects of anger for hundreds of years, but only lately have physicians been recommending people address their anger.

Dr. Kirk Laman, a board certified cardiologist, with a special interest in heart disease prevention suggests that we look at anger just as we look at other risk factors for heart disease.

?Anger is a powerful emotion. If left unchecked it can actually cause a heart attack,? said Dr. Laman. ?All of us are aware of the traditional risk factors for heart disease- smoking, high cholesterol, diabetes, and high blood pressure. Yet, recently the American Heart Association has recognized that emotional issues can also place us at risk for developing heart problems.?

Numerous medical studies have cited anger as a cause of heart trouble. In the medical journal, Circulation (October 1995) anger was shown to precede and actually trigger a heart attack.

In the article they studied 1623 men and women, evaluating the amount and timing of anger in the peoples lives. These researchers were able to find a direct relationship between having anger and developing a heart attack.

In another study on anger (Circulation, May 2000), 12,986 people who carried more anger were twice as likely to have a heart attack, die, or need angioplasty or bypass surgery when compared to people who were less angry.

Indeed, anger isn?t just an emotional issue. It truly can be harmful to our health.

What can we do about anger? Well, the first thing is to become more aware of when we are having anger. We can do this by becoming more aware of our hearts in general. We can also begin thinking more about stress reduction.

One useful thing to do is to set aside 20 minutes each evening for reflection. Journaling can also be helpful. Reflect how your heart felt throughout your day. Were you upset, frustrated? Just by spending time reflecting, you can begin to conquer the harmful feelings that over take your heart.

If you?re someone who is angry a great deal seek professional help. Find a psychotherapist or counselor and begin developing the skills needed for creating a more healthy heart.

Anger is a risk, but you can avoid suffering from debilitating heart disease.

There are a lot of crash diets out there that promise that youll drop a considerable amount of weight in days or a week. I have tried a few of these, and in my experience the weight always comes back on, just as quickly.

One thing you dont want to do if you are actually serious about losing weight is to follow these fad diets. After their ineffectiveness has been proven time and again, people will start to wise up to that particular diet, and will head off in search of a new craze.

Lets be honest, people want to lose weight and they want immediate results, but this is just wishful thinking. To lose weight permanently and effectively it will be a rather slow progress, all depending on your metabolic rate and how much you need to lose.

There are however some proven tried and true methods for aiding in the weight loss process, and I can make you familiar with them.

1. Dont skip breakfast. Whatever you do follow this advice, because otherwise you are much more likely in fact prone to binge later in the day.

2. Dont eat anything for at least an hour before going to bed.

3. Dont snack while watching TV. Its acceptable to eat a meal while watching television, but never is snacking at this time acceptable.

4. Substitute fruits like; bananas, watermelon, plums, peaches, and oranges for sugary treats like; cookies and candy.

5. Substitute honey for sugar, and carob powder for chocolate in all recipes.

6. Eat more vegetables. This can even be enjoyable if you have a good cookbook like Good housekeeping's latest edition.

7. Avoid unnecessary high calorie foods.

8. Exercise at least a half hour each day for 5 days out of the week.
